Rochester, NY punk band Sakes Alive!! have just launched their webstore. I must say I’m into the Mistress shirt design, only if i had an extra $10 to blow…. But anyway. If you haven’t heard Sakes Alive!! I would have to say they sound like Strike Anywhere but a lot more pissed off and raw. Defiantly one of the best up and coming bands in western New York. You can download a free mp3 below or check out their myspace. The band is also in the process or recording new martial for a 7 inch record on Barrett Records. I’ll post more info on that when i get it.

Hardcore record label Deathwish Inc. has posted a free summer music sampler on their site. The sampler includes 12 new and unreleased songs tracks by : Killing The Dream, Blacklisted, Cold World, Reign Supreme, Narrows, Trap Them, Bitter End, The Carrier, Life Long Tragedy, Meltdown, Shipwreck a.d., and Pulling Teeth.

Weezer – Red Album
So I must say that I was pretty excited to hear this. After listening to their first single “Pork and Beans” I think I got my hopes up for the first good Weezer record sense Pinkerton. But after hearing the first few tracks my opinion changed rather quickly. Also another color titled album is alittle lame. Download it below and if you like it pick up the Vinyl ( Red Colored ) from Insound and get a free pork and beans 7 inch single.

After a few east coast tours, a CD EP released by Barrett Records, and numerous shows in Syracuse and New York city indie dance rockers The Sister Lovers are calling it a day. They will be playing their last show @ the Mezzanotte Lounge (658 North Salina Street, Syracuse, NY) on Saturday May 31st. They will be playing with Child Bite from Detroit and Counter Pursuit. I’ll be posting pictures here after the show. If you haven’t heard The Sister Lovers you can download a song below:
